Changing your gear?

Jan 03, 2021

If you have been doing Freelance Voice Work for a while now is it time to consider updating your current recording software? Many Voice Artists use the same gear over and over again but it’s also nice from time to time to change things up a bit by updating the recording equipment you have been using. The many Voice Artists I follow use Adobe Audition as their primary source to record their voice scripts with. Others use Audacity and some use many other kinds to record their work. For the last 3 years I have been using the Focusrite 2i2 recording interface and it has served me well. I also know that it is getting old and the 2i2 Generation III has arrived on the market and it is getting good reviews on many different music sites where you can purchase it. Consider your options for this coming year and decide for yourself which is the best decision for you and your Studio. Not only possibly update your software but also your microphone if your budget permits it, so that way you can stay on the cutting edge of the Voice Over Freelance scene. With the current state of affairs each decision you make will be a tough one but also one that must be well thought out. Consider these options carefully and again decide what is best for you. Good luck and go get’em
